Serials Allocation Changes in 2007-2008 Collections Budget
As detailed elsewhere on the Library's web site, the SFU Library has for several years been undertaking a project to migrate much of the journal collection from print to online, where favourable terms are available. In 2007 the Library moved to a publisher package for Taylor & Francis journals and has therefore moved allocations for previoulsy held online-only subscriptions from the departmental allocations into the General Electronic Serials line in the 2007-08 budget. The amounts for each fund code involved are listed below, for a total of over $193,000. During summer 2007, departments will also be consulted about migrating any remaining print from this publisher to online-only, and further adjustments of the budget may follow for the 2008-09 year.
