 Terms of Reference

 
1. Review alternative methods of assessing the subject allocations of the Library's collection budget and recommend a preferred method.
2. Identify a process for reallocating the collection budget that:
·addresses anomalies without jeopardizing necessary support provided throughthe current allocation;
·provides a means for ensuring support for new research interests;

·provides the flexibility to allow the Library to respond to new opportunities as they arise;

·includes alternative methods for provision of important resources which do not form part of the Library's collection;

·includes a procedure for ongoing review of the allocation.

3. Consult widely with the SFU community.

4. Report to the Senate Library Committee by June 30, 2000.
